Bowl a turkey, win a turkey – and Bristol race tickets!

With the Thanksgiving holiday upon us, Bristol Motor Speedway is getting into the spirit by hosting the inaugural Turkey Bowl at the Johnson Controls Ice Rink Monday, Nov. 23.

The Turkey Bowl, which will take place from 6 p.m-8 p.m., is open to anyone who brings at least two cans of food, or non-perishable items, to the rink that day. Every person who enters will receive a pair of tickets to Ford Fan Friday at BMS March 19, along with a free skate rental for the Johnson Controls Ice Rink.

The first three people to bowl a strike – while tossing a frozen turkey at the pins on the ice rink – will receive a $25 gift certificate to Food City. Anyone who bowls a turkey, which is three straight strikes, will automatically win a complete Thanksgiving dinner from the Food City deli.

If no one bowls a turkey, a drawing will be held for the dinner. Everyone who takes part in the Turkey Bowl also will be able to sign up for a pair of tickets to the Food City 500, one of NASCAR’s most popular races, on Sunday, March 21.

There will be no skating during the Turkey Bowl, as the rink is closed on Mondays.
